Q1.What is Samadhi-Lab?
A1.Samadhi-Lab is short for "Samadhi" Windsurfing "Lab"oratory. Samadhi Lab is a private laboratory and our current theme is the development of slalom fins.
Q2.What is "Samadhi"?
A2."Samadhi" means one's state of mind concentration deeply, and without distinction between oneself and anoter. When we use good equipments, we are unconscious of a boundary between ourself and equipments. So, we feel a sense of unity to the whole of creation. I think this state is "Samadhi".
I want to reach this state by development of equipments. Therfore I decide my laboratory name as "Samadhi".
Q3.Why did you start this laboratory?
A3.I purely wanted to windsurf faster than ever. This is also from my strong curiosity to develop windsurfing equipments.
Q4.How do you make windsurfing fin?
A4.First, I design 3D models with specialized CAD system, then fins are shaved by NC machine with 0.01mm precision. Please see LABORATORY page for more details.
Q5.Will you sell your fins?
A5.Currently in the development phase (may continue until I'm satisfied!!) but I will be glad to accept requests in the future.
Q6.How much does it cost for a fin?
A6.It varies from time to time, as I am now performing various experiments. To say it generally, our cost is slightly higher than the prices of fins on the market. It is my dream to make a good fin with a reasonable price.
Q7.Can you make duplicate/copy fins?
A7.It is not my intent to copy other fins. Also I think it's technically not feasible to copy them since errors in the order of >0.1mm could make fin performance very different, I think.
Q8.Do you get a patent?
A8.I am not interested in these issues. I would like to use my time effectively for the development of fins itself rather than obtaining the patent.

A10.Now I don't provide the design data to other organization. But, If you want it, I will take advice.
